The name “Sundown” was inspired by the much loved anchorage, by St Tropez, with its sky after sunset.

2012 – Final checks in Beneteau factory, before commissioning and first launch in February. Then based in Lorient, France, cruising West Brittany with its Islands and the Quiberon Bay.
2015 – Purchased by the present owner in Pornichet, France, and cruised in the same area before spending the winter in Vannes.
2016 – Sailed around Brittany to spend several weeks cruising in the Channel Islands. Crossed the Channel for servicing work in Lymington and Poole. Then East along the coast to the Thames Estuary, and River Medway with an up-river excursion above Maidstone. Winter was spent in Burnham-on-Crouch.
2017 – Six weeks cruise up the River Thames to Oxford and return. Explored East coast estuaries before spending a month on the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. From Ipswich, transported to Pwllheli, North Wales, for the winter.
2018 – Crossing to Ireland before going North for seven weeks super cruising in Scotland’s West coast. Enjoyed exploring many Lochs, around Mull to the inner Hebrides and through the Caledonian Canal to Inverness. Then returning via the Isle of Man and Conwy, to Pwllheli. Next, going South to Padstow, Falmouth, Brest and the Odet River in France. Continued cruising South to the Morbihan and Vannes for the winter.
2019 – Awoke on New Year’s day, anchored off Ile d’Houat, and returned to Vannes. In the Spring, used the Morbihan and Vilaine river before going South to Bordeaux. Then via the canal to Toulouse and Canal du Midi to the med. The French and Italian Rivieras were enjoyed prior to wintering in Provence.
2020 – Stayed out of the water because of the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
2021 – After a short trip to the Frioul islands (near Marseilles) there was the planned return to the UK. This was via the Canal du Midi to Toulouse and the Canal Lateral a Garrone to Bordeaux for access to the West Coast of France. Then on to North Wales via Roscoff, Dartmouth, Falmouth and Milford Haven.
2022 – Based in North Wales with excursions around Anglesey and Tremadog Bay.
2023 – North Wales to Gigha Island, Scotland, via Isle of Man and Northern Ireland. Then 2 months cruising numerous Lochs north to Loch Sheildaig, and also the Caledonian Canal, before returning.
2024 – North Wales to cruising the Channel Islands. This included a visit to North Brittany going up river to Pontrieux, before cruising England’s West Country and a return to North Wales.
2025 – Winter excursions around Tremadog Bay. Cruising from North Wales to La Rochelle via Falmouth and Roscoff. Then returning to North Wales.
